CBI director must be immediately suspended & his misconduct probed

The Aam Aadmi Party demands the immediate suspension of CBI director Mr Ranjit Sinha for having compromised the investigating agency’s impartiality through his unbecoming behaviour of holding secret meetings with the accused in cases probed by the agency.

Mr Sinha has already changed his statements thrice in an unsuccessful attempt to desperately defend his meetings with the top officials of a corporate house, which is one of the main accused in the 2G telecom spectrum scam. Read More

BJP exposed : Video evidence of BJP attempting horsetrading

Delhi BJP vice-president caught on video offering Rs 4 crore bribe to an AAP MLA

·         Promises to make the MLA meet his party high command

·         Says RSS is agreeable to form government in Delhi through defections

·         Claims he is in touch with atleast four other MLAs

The real character of BJP stands fully exposed and this time it has been caught red handed. It is an admitted fact now that the BJP is desperate to form a government in Delhi by hook or by crook. For doing so, it has no hesitation whatsoever in even indulging in the most unethical practices, including engineering defections by offering bribes to MLAs.   Read More

AAP challenges Harsh Vardhan to prove his CVC claim on Sanjeev Chaturvedi

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) challenges union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan to prove his claims made over the last two days that the Central Vigilance Commission had rejected or opposed the appointment of whistleblower officer Saneev Chaturvedi as the Chief Vigilance Officer of AIIMS.

The health minister is changing his stand everyday and is making false statements in a desperate bid to wriggle out of his unjustified and untenable decision to compromise with corruption by having shunted out a honest officer on the instructions of BJP leadership. The health minister had tweeted on Friday (August 22) that Chaturvedi had been twice rejected by the CVC and that his continuation as CVO of AIIMS was “irregular and indefensible”.

The minister on Saturday changed his stand from rejection to opposition by the CVC in 2012 and 2013. The AAP dares the health minister to put in public domain any document which has support his claim.

Is BJP really committed to removing corruption?

Prime Minister should intervene and get Sanjeev reinstated

AIIMS is riddled with corruption, especially by its seniormost officials. Two years back, an honest and very pro-active officer, Sanjeev Chaturvedi, was posted as Chief Vigilance Officer. Now, it became difficult for these seniors to indulge in corruption. Sanjeev started acting swiftly against corruption. Very powerful people involved. These powerful people, through their political connections, made several attempts to get him removed. But all these attempts proved unsuccessful, till BJP came to power.

After coming to power, the first action that BJP took on corruption front was to remove this anti-corruption crusader from this post. Interestingly, BJP came to power because people were fed up of scam tainted UPA government. BJP repeatedly promised that it would remove corruption. This action of BJP government is completely contrary to what they promised. Read More

AIIMS Sanjiv Chaturvedi issue : sack Harshvardhan if he does not resign

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) demands the immediate resignation of union health minister Dr Harshvardhan failing which the Prime Minister should sack him for his illegal action of having approved the shunting out of whistleblower officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi from the post of Chief Vigilance Officer of AIIMS.

It is shameful that the health minister is defending his shocking action to save his skin, but either he is ill-informed or is deliberately trying to mislead the nation for his blatant compromise with corruption.

AS the CVO of AIIMS, Chaturvedi had recommended CBI probes in scams involving top officials of AIIMS and the AAP is making public nine of these important cases.

BJP's shameful compromise with corruption

The BJP-controlled Delhi administration’s stand before the High Court on Tuesday to curtail the powers of the Anti Corruption Branch flies is the most blatant example of the ruling party’s direct and shameful compromise with corruption.

The BJP’s central government, as part of its deliberate strategy to reduce the Delhi ACB into a meaningless body, has taken a series of completely unjustified steps which prove its highly suspect motive of bailing out the Reliance Industries Limited and former ministers of the UPA government, despite their direct involvement in the Rs 54,000 crore natural gas pricing scam. Attack on AAP Volunteer in TamilNadu for exposing Corruption

AAP volunteer and RTI activist Mr.Tamilarasan (22), of Nagal (Vellore District, K.V.Kuppam Taluk), TamailNadu was attacked in his village on 1/8/2014 by the henchmen of Panchayat President Mrs.Jeyanthi and her husband Balaseth. Strongly condemning this attack, Aam Aadmi Party presented a petition to the Vellore District Collector on 05/08/2014.
  • To withdraw the false and foisted cases on Tamilarasan, his relatives and other Nagal panchayat youth;
  • To thoroughly investigate and take action on the various scams exposed by Tamilarasan in Nagal panchayat
  • To dismiss the Panchayat President
  • To register an FIR on Sub-Inspector Purushottaman who attacked Tamilarasan

BJP govt reduces Delhi ACB to a useless body

The Aam Aadmi Party demands that the BJP-led central government should immediately withdraw the union home ministry’s completely unjustified notification which severely curtails the jurisdiction of the Anti Corruption Branch of Delhi government.

The July 23 notification of the home ministry, reported by the Hindustan Times today (Monday), renders the very existence of the Delhi ACB as futile. It is extremely shocking that the Narendra Modi government which came to power on the promise of eradicating corruption, is doing completely the opposite of that. The amendment to the original notification of 1993, now states :“ This notification shall apply to the officers and employees of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.”  Read More

Sheila Dikshit be sacked as governor and booked for corruption

The Aam Aadmi Party demands the dismissal of Mrs Sheila Dikshit as Kerala governor and registration of a criminal case against her and ministers of her cabinet for having looted the poor people of Delhi and having siphoned off around Rs 3,000 crore.

The Comptroller & Auditor General (CAG) reports tabled in the Parliament on Friday have confirmed that the Sheila Dikshit government wasted around Rs 3,000 crore in the name of providing basic services like sewer lines, water lines, roads and drainage to all the 895 unauthorised colonies – which in reality were not provided at all. The CAG has corroborated the findings of the former Delhi Lokayukta Justice Manmohan Sarin on the issue.

The onus of providing justice to the people of Delhi now squarely rests with the Narendra Modi-led BJP’s central government. This government has over the past month removed governors appointed by the UPA on political grounds – then the obvious question is why is it shying away from sacking Mrs Sheila Dikshit ? The AAP demands that Mrs Dikshit be immediately removed and Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Bureau be directed to register a case against her and ministers of her government, under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
